I took this photo of Kailua Beach, where my husband Deacon Joe and I relax, sit, and read a book. I'm almost halfway through "The Story of My Life" by Helen Keller. With physical realities most people may consider hurdles to writing, Helen wrote her thoughts and ideas with clarity and in fine details. She inspires me. The passage is from the readings of multiplication of loaves and fish, one of my favorite parables. Enjoy the week with all of God's beauty and abundance of blessings!

A Joyful 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time! Here's a beautiful reminder from Saint Augustine of Hippo, who wrote in his Confessions: “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You. Here's from today's Liturgy of the Hours: From Today's Gospel (6/27) The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with Indulgence: Most sacred Heart of Jesus, pour down Your blessings abundantly on Your holy Church, on the Supreme Pointiff, and on all the clergy. Grant perseverance to the just, convert sinners, enlighten infidels, bless our parents, friends, and benefactors, assist the dying, free the souls in purgatory, and extend over all hearts the sweet empire of Your love. - Indulgence of 300 days, once a day - Pope Pius X, 16 June 1906 Painting is by Author Unknown, United States Public Domain |
