Praising God has a mysterious way of lifting up the soul. Open that book of God's love letters for you, for me - the Bible - and let him speak those words of love. Meditate to reminisce how God has delivered us from many times of uncertainties and pitfalls. Our hearts will not be able to contain the joy. Dwell in those experiences to ponder the goodness of God. Our hearts will then praise God without giving it much thought. The soul is simply in active prayer to God - with a grateful heart. ©Easter Almuena 2020

Lord, prepare us to see better your newness and brightness. May we not be blinded by the world's goods, but be cognizant of the light that allows us to see the goodness you bring to us and to those in need through us. Open us and mold us into the likeness of your essence. We walk with Mary in this journey of hope and expectant joy. Amen @Easter Almuena 2020 Happy Feast of St. Mary Magdalene! (7/22) Liturgical color: White - the color of Heaven. White is used for celebrations of the seasons of the Lord, his feasts and the saints'. The color gold may be used instead. White represents purity derivative of our baptismal inheritance. The growth of the Church's teaching precluded the use of our sense of sight to "deepen our experience of the mysteries of salvation" thus the emphasis on liturgical colors. Jesus healed Mary of Magdala from possession of seven devils. Mary Magdalene's conversion and transformation significantly led her to become an important part of history in Scriptures: ministering to Jesus in Galilee, being present in the crucifixion, the first to discover the empty tomb, and the one Jesus appeared to first. (Source: Universalis) God is so cleverly good at bringing us to him through his works of art around us - the floras painted with different colors. So bright! So full of life! That's God, in his awesome natural state of loving us as we gaze upon his beauty all around us. -@Easter Almuena 2020 Why would Jesus not be true to his Word when he himself is the Word? Why would Jesus not be true to his Word when his dying is a fulfillment of this word? What gift the Lord has given us to praise him amidst chaos in the world! He is the eye of the storm where comfort and peace are drawn from. Alleluia! |
